“Music in the Garden” was the theme of Croatia’s fifth Rendez-vous aux Jardins event.
The Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia organized educational programmes in Vrgorac and Varaždinske Toplice in collaboration with the Conservation Department in Imotski, the Center for Culture and Heritage of the City of Vrgorac, and the Conservation Department in Varaždin.

The series of programmes entitled “
Listening, searching, learning the sounds of the park” took place on Friday, June 2, at 9:00 a.m. in the Park of the 4th Guards Brigade – PAUCI in Vrgorac.
The programme “Listening and painting park sounds,” organized in partnership with the Pčelica Kindergarten from Vrgorac, featured workshops with the help of sound centers; the programme “Park’s Onomatopoeia,” organized in partnership with the Vrgorac Primary School, featured an outdoor workshop; and the programme “Listening to the park along an educational trail,” organized in partnership with the Tin Ujević High School from Vrgorac, featured an educational lecture on the Vrgorac city park.

VARAŽDINSKE TOPLICE
The programme “
Music in the garden – songs of water, wind and birds in the Spa Park” took place on Friday, June 2 at 10:30 a.m. in the Spa Garden in Varaždinske Toplice. With a focus on the music created in the park by nature itself, the programme presented the park’s natural and cultural history to students of Tratinčica Kindergarten from Varaždinske Toplice, as well as to other interested residents.
Since 2003, the French Ministry of Culture has organized the Rendez-vous aux Jardins event on the first weekend of June, when various private and public gardens, parks, and promenades are open to the public throughout France, and since 2018, as part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage, it has been organized all across Europe.
